This is not a place of honor

Welcome to The Grotto! I wanted a place to host my creative projects & thoughts without bowing to the whims of technofacsist billionaires. I wanted a place to excercise my creativity and show off my personality. So welcome to my digital garden! Here you can find out about the things that interest me and fuel my creativity.

"The slogan 'refuse, reduce, reuse, repair and recycle' provides us with a hierarchy of strategies for dealing with waste. Refuse means to decide not to engage in the consuming action or task in the first place because it is not necessary. Reduce means to minimize the materials and energy required or the frequency of the consuming action. Reuse means either reuse for the same purpose or put to the next best use. Repair means to use skill and very limited additional resources to restore function. Recycle means to break down into more basic elements or materials before being reprocessed for the same or other uses."

Hello Reader! Welcome to my digital garden, I hope you enjoy your stay. I'm Lunariis, and here you'll find all the random shit I like! Under the 'Journal' tab you'll be met with a lot of my thoughts and current projects. But feel free to wander around! I started this site in Feburary of 2025 after watching LuvstarKei's Video about personal websites- I spend probably 1-2 hours on W3 Schools figuring out the absolute basics, then used Sadgrl's website maker and jumped in! This site has been through a few iterations as i've s l o w l y increased my knowledge and skills at coding and I'm sure it'll continue to change and grow in the future. I think i want to keep it simple, but who knows what the future holds.

As for what I plan to use this site for- I'm interested in the intersectionality of fashion/clothing and sustainablity, specifically using secondhand materials and finding more eco-friendly textiles. I'm no scientist though, so expect the perspective of a layman with a hobby.

I am also a big fan of philosophy, writing, and gardening.

“We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.”

-Ursula K. Le Guin
